Invited Visit to Indonesia’s Pre-Prepared Tuna Factory: Learnings, Exchange & Future Cooperation
(November 22, 2025)

As a professional manufacturer of fruit, vegetable, and meat processing equipment, we were recently invited to Indonesia to visit a well-known supplier of frozen pre-prepared tuna. The customer not only excels in tuna catching and processing but also emphasizes marine ecological protection and sustainable animal resource use. During the visit, we gained deep insights into their strict requirements for raw tuna suppliers, their impressive production scale with a capacity of 80 MT of raw materials per day, their standardized processing model, workshop cleanliness, and their rigorous quality control system. This visit offered valuable inspiration for our future equipment development, workflow optimization, hygiene standards, and potential industrial cooperation.
Invited to Indonesia: A Learning Journey Focused on Productivity and Responsibility
As the global food processing industry continues advancing toward higher standards, efficiency, and environmental consciousness, our company actively seeks international collaboration opportunities. Being invited to Indonesia was a valuable and meaningful experience. The customer we visited is a leading local supplier of frozen pre-prepared tuna products, consistently delivering high-quality tuna to global markets.
Understanding Indonesia’s Tuna Industry: Abundance Coupled with Responsibility
Indonesia is one of the world’s largest tuna-producing countries, blessed with rich marine resources yet facing sustainability challenges. The company we visited adheres to strict environmental principles during fishing and raw material procurement. They emphasized:
● Avoiding overfishing and protecting marine ecosystems
● Ensuring fishing methods align with international animal protection standards
● Maintaining traceability for every batch of tuna
These principles influence not only their supply chain but also inspired us to explore how equipment design can better support sustainable and energy-efficient processing.
Strict Supplier Selection: Balancing Quality and Responsibility
The customer applies rigorous and systematic criteria when selecting raw tuna suppliers, focusing on:
1. Legality, safety, and traceability of tuna sources
2. Fishing methods that avoid harming marine life
3. Raw material freshness and size consistency
4. Strict temperature control during transportation
These requirements ensure a stable, high-quality supply to international foodservice and retail markets. For us, witnessing this strict upstream control pushed us to explore how equipment can better support rapid grading, inspection, and early-stage processing.

80 MT Daily Capacity: A Strong Proof of Manufacturing Strength
Their remarkable 80 MT daily raw material processing capacity was one of the most impressive aspects of the visit. Each production line was seamlessly connected—from raw material receiving, cleaning, cutting, pre-preparation, quick-freezing, to final packaging. Every stage had a well-defined SOP and strict quality checkpoints.
Such a scale demands exceptional equipment stability, hygienic design, easy maintenance, and high automation levels. This experience gave us a clearer direction for future equipment upgrades and innovation.
Clean & Organized Workshops: Hygiene and Efficiency in Harmony
The workshops left a strong impression: spotless floors, clear zoning, standardized operations, and well-arranged equipment designed for easy cleaning. The frozen processing area was especially disciplined, with every worker strictly adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
For our company, this served as a clear benchmark, helping us refine equipment appearance, pipeline layout, and CIP cleaning systems to meet international factory standards.
Key Inspirations for Our Equipment Manufacturing
Key inspirations include:
Greater focus on hygienic design, including higher-grade materials and rounded, seamless structures.
Higher automation and efficiency, fitting for large-scale continuous production scenarios.
Integration of energy-saving and eco-friendly concepts into equipment development.
Enhanced flexibility and customization to meet users’ specific process needs.

Future Cooperation Prospects
Through this visit, we and the customer established mutual understanding regarding equipment upgrades, workflow optimization, and potential future cooperation. Both sides look forward to exploring deeper collaboration on cutting machines, conveyors, pre-preparation systems, and freezing equipment.
Our President’s Comment:
“This visit to Indonesia allowed us to experience first-hand how leading global food producers operate with strong commitments to sustainability, supplier control, and standardized production. We gained deep insights into the real needs of large-scale tuna processing and now have a clearer direction for future equipment innovation. It will drive us to deliver more efficient, intelligent, and safer processing equipment for customers worldwide.”
